Kids love cutting and gluing things together. This craft is simple for them and will give you something pretty to hang in the window when they get done. Be sure that you are there to help children who are not old enough to manage scissors on their own yet.
Materials:
- Black construction paper
- Clear contact paper
- Tissue paper in a variety of colors
- Template of some sort (these can be found on the internet or you can make your own)
- Scissors
- White crayon
How To:
- Cut out your template and trace it onto black construction paper with a white crayon.? Cut the image out of the black construction paper.
- Cut out the middle leaving about a 1/2? of the outside intact.? Discard the center you just cut out.
- Peel the backing paper off of the contact paper and stick your outline onto it.? Cut off any excess contact paper off.
- Cut tissue paper into 1 inch squares.? Make sure to use a few different colors.
- Stick the tissue paper onto the middle area of the contact making sure to overlap the pieces.
- Trim off any tissue paper that hangs over the black outline.
- Hang up on a sunny window.
